Notice of change – 2020 Wood County Senate District Convention

Due to the State of Emergency and the developing situation with COVID-19, the Wood County Democratic Party has decided to hold only a procedural county convention, not the full event we had planned for March 21.
County Chair Dr. Judy Traylor, several members of the CEC, and the convention planning committee will be at the ABC-H&R Block Building – 200 S. Main Street, Winnsboro, TX 75494, Saturday, March 21, 9 am – 10 am (where we were planning to hold the convention) so that we can undertake the procedural matters that must be completed by statute.

If you are interested in being chosen as a delegate to the state convention June 4-6, we encourage you to sign up here by clicking on In-person attendance at the county convention is not required to become a state delegate. The Chair and the Nominations Committee may create a delegate list to the State Convention from those who registered online, those who register in person, and adding additional names for thirty days following the convention.

Again, we are encouraging anyone who does not need to attend the WCDC County convention to stay home on March 21.
